About the Opportunity
Join our Active and Connected Communities Business unit as a Parks Planning Liaison Officer to help shape and enhance our community’s passive reserves, ensuring they meet the needs of all users and promote active, healthy lifestyles.
You will make an impact by
- Supporting passive reserve interest groups in governance and administration.
- Liaising with community groups to support their activities.
- Administering initiatives like the Shire Beautification Program.
- Responding to community needs regarding passive reserves.
- Assisting in the planning and execution of capital works projects.
- Identifying opportunities for funding and making submissions to obtain grants and subsidies.
What you will bring
- A tertiary qualification in recreation, community development or a related discipline is highly regarded.
- Experience in community engagement and support.
- Knowledge of policy development and grant administration.
- Ability to identify and secure funding opportunities.
- Understanding of risk management in public spaces.
